Camaraderie on the Greens!

On Monday, June 13, 112 golfers participated in the 26th Annual Josh Miller/Variety Children’s Charity Golf Invitational sponsored by Liberty Mutual at the Fox Chapel Golf Club.  After enjoying a continental breakfast, golfers were greeted by representatives and guests of Liberty Mutual including Ed Goll and David Eaglen, and foursome photos were taken with celebrity host and former Pittsburgh Steeler Josh Miller. 

Shotgun start commenced at 11 a.m. amidst sunshine on a day of “birdies, pars and double bogeys” (no lucky golfer with a hole-in-one).  In good spirits golfers returned to the Club for dinner and the awards presentation.  Joining in the fun was Variety kid Victoria V. and her family.  Victoria, age 8 of Jefferson Hills, recently received an adaptive van through Variety’s Kids on the Go! Program.

At the end of the day, $83,751.00 was raised to help Variety to continue to provide quality programs and services for children with disabilities in southwestern Pennsylvania.
