Each December, Variety the Children’s Charity, in partnership with Steel City Media, Q92-9 FM , holds it’s annual Q92-9 FM Cares for Kids Radiothon.  Families served by Variety the Children’s Charity benefit from the generosity of the listening audience’s financial assistance which helps to support Camp Variety for Kids, our annual summer day camp program for children with mental and physical disabilities, and our Kids on the Go! Program, that provides wheelchairs and other enabling equipment for children with disabilities.

Producer Gene Bridges of “Radio from the Heart” works with Variety, the Q92-9 FM listeners, corporate sponsors and volunteers to help insure that our annual Radiothon is a success.  All funds raised are put to work across the area to improve the lives of children and families in southwestern Pennsylvania and will send 120 kids to Camp Variety for Kids next August.
