Sponsor an Adaptive Bike

for a child with a disability

For a child with a disability, riding a bike is much more than a recreational activity.  For Matt it's an opportunity to ride through his neighborhood alongside friends.  For Connor it's a chance to feel independent and carefree, when the day can present so many other challenges.

For a child with a disability who struggles to skip, run, and even walk, an adaptive bicycle can be life-changing.

The cost to sponsor one adaptive bike is $1,800, but a gift of any amount will make a difference - $25 for a pedal, $50 for a wheel, or $100 for the handle bars.

If you or your company / organization are interested in sponsoring an adaptive bike for a child or supporting Variety's "My Bike" Program, please contact Charlie LaVallee at (724) 933-0460 or via email at charlie@varietypittsburgh.org

"The adaptive bike has been a blessing in a way I didn't even realize.  When Logan got that bike outside ... he zoomed all around the court & loved the freedom.  He was all smiles.

Logan was riding and Dylan (his brother) ran out on the court and started laughing and chasing Logan all around.  They were both screaming and laughing and I then realized they were playing in a way they were never able to before.  It opened up a whole new door.

The gift has not just made a child happy, but a whole family."
