Labor Day Parade

Since 2014, a number of Variety kids have had the extraordinary opportunity to ride their adaptive bikes in the Labor Day Parade through downtown Pittsburgh!

This day and experience is truly a memorable moment for our kids and their families, as they ride together in one of the nation’s largest parades. It is even more meaningful for everyone as the crowds of people lining the streets cheer and applaud the kids as they ride by – making them feel special, proud, and included!

A big thanks to those that allow this day to be possible, including:  the Allegheny/Fayette Central Labor Council and all of organized labor, the City of Pittsburgh, and Peter Emmanual Teris (who graciously provides us with free parking in memory of his son, Peter, age 20).
