Host Your Own Community Event

Whether you want to raise funds for Variety, or simply host a gathering of friends to spread the word, we would love to hear from you! You can get started by contacting Patti Ferraro at patti@varietypittsburgh.org or (724) 933-0460.

Some ideas could include:

  • initiate a birthday party or celebration (ask for donations in lieu of gifts),
  • host an open house or dinner party with friends,
  • co-brand Variety’s program handout with employer’s logo and distribute to employees,
  • coordinate a fitness challenge or bike ride,
  • hold a bake sale, yard sale, ice cream social, or community get-together,
  • host a crowd-funding campaign (Variety can setup for you),
  • open up the door and introduce Variety to your employer or community organization.

Individual Giving

Donate Now

As a small, but mighty team, every donation makes a tremendous difference. Your donation can be made generally (used wherever it’s most needed), or designated towards a specific program and/or geographic area (e.g. Beaver County). Your gift to Variety is tax deductible to the extend provided by law and will directly benefit our kids.

You can give online now or download our donation form to send a gift by mail – choose to give MONTHLY online and make your support sustainable.

Employer Matching Gift Program

Find out if you your donation to Variety can go even further by contacting your company’s HR Department and asking if your donation can be matched. This process must be started by the employee to their employer.

Planned Giving

This is an easy way to fit your giving into your own financial goals, while achieving tax benefits. A planned gift can come in the form of a bequest in your will or trust, life insurance designations, stock donation, etc. Making a planned gift is as easy as adding a sentence into your will or trust and can be setup with your attorney or financial adviser.

Tribute Giving

Make a donation in honor or in memory of someone in your life. Variety is happy to assist in making this type of donation meaningful to you, and sending acknowledgements where they are necessary.

United Way Campaign

Designate “Variety” as your United Way charity by using our designation code, 2195.
